She picked out counter tops, flooring, cabinets and drawers, and the handles or knobs for the cabinets and drawers. And it was interesting to hear what things should all match. Apparently faucets, door knobs, and lighting should be of the same finish whether it be silver, polished nickel, or this other type that was beautiful but I forgot the name.
When it came to my turn, my items of importance were the windows and the plumbing. You see, I was just making sure that the structural things were covered. I will finish the basement in a year when I sell the home I currently live in with my youngest daughter who will be a senior next year. So although it wasn't as exciting as the colors of the inside walls or the outside stucco and fascia, the windows and plumbing are all too important and I was very happy to make sure I was equipped.
I will have a bathroom and a kitchen, which both needed to be plumbed. And I added three windows so my space would be lit beautifully. It is going to be wonderful!
This is a sponsored post for Rotorooter, however, all the points and views are my own.
