I would first try a financial planner who can help you get a settlement or make an arrangement. It may seem hopeless... but a financial planner is a good first avenue toward relieving yourself of debt. If this doesn't work out... an attorney who specializes in bankruptcy will be your next course of action.
There are attorneys who handle bankruptcy on top of their other work load, but I would recommend a lawyer who deals with bankruptcy exclusively. Law Offices of John T Orcutt is an example of a practice whose sole operation is one of bankruptcy.
You want the process to go quickly... and most important... without errors. I mean after all, if you are going to do something as significant as filing for bankruptcy... then by all means... do it right.
This is a sponsored post for John T Orcutt, however, all the points and views are my own.
