Height and Mind

I've notice my parents getting older.  I mean of course they always are growing older, but recently I seemed to notice it a little more.  And I know I am growing older too, and I definitely feel the effects.  Yes, there's the forgetfulness, being a little slower, getting set in your ways, etc... The funny thing about growing older is that nobody really mentions that you get shorter.

That's right.  My parents are noticeable shorter.  And I feel, at times, that I am shrinking.  I think gravity has the all consuming over all impact.  I mean it is working on each of us 24/7 and never lets up.  I work on a computer for my job.  I sit.  And as the day goes on, I know I am shrinking down in my chair.  I just get tired.  Sure, I make the effort to sit up straight, be tall, but as time goes on, I settle down.

Wouldn't it be great if we could rotate each day by being upright one day and upside down the next? Each day would cancel out the effects of the previous day.  I would have an inversion table at my desk  I would strap myself up and work upside down which in turn would help strengthen my mind.  There is all kinds of data where if you do something different, like eating with the opposite hand you normally do, or taking a different route to work, changing up your bed time routine, and it stimulates your brain and improves your cognitive skills.

I'm sure working every other day in an upside down state would qualify, and perhaps we wouldn't feel like we're getting older and we certainly wouldn't continue to shrink!

This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.
