If You Could See It

If you could see the cars I've had my children drive when they first get their licenses.  I make a point in picking out old used cars with a lot of sturdy metal around them.  It has been a wise decision because each and every one of them has had a little trouble navigating without bumping into something.

Let's see... the oldest hit our garage and the mail box.  Neither of these were a problem because we didn't have to pay anyone.  It was the car, garage, and mail box that suffered.  She then pulled out in front of a truck and this was a problem.  Fortunately everyone was fine, except the truck and the car.  The next oldest, an excellent driver, really had no major problems.  There was the one time where I was complimenting her on her driving skills and she was soaking it up and getting a little cocky when she hit the back end of another parked car while she was trying to pull into the adjacent parking spot.  Fortunately, and to keep her record clean, it left no mark.

The kids have continued down the line hitting the mail box repeatedly.  It is parked at the end of the driveway.  There have been fender benders, fire hydrants, a pole, a fence, and a tree.  So trust me when I say, that it has been to my great advantage when picking out their first car.  We have done body work on other peoples cars from California to auto body shop Columbus Ohio, but we never worried about spending the money on our own.

If you could see them now.

This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.
